Over 275 top security professionals attended the second ASIS International Security Conference in Singapore. The conference addressed key security topics, both region-specific and of global interest, including natural disasters, protection of intellectual property, terrorism, avian flu, transit security, supply chain security, and much more.
Of note was the presentations by the Association President and other Committee members on the commitment by ASIS to actively support the development and certification of International Standards in respect to security and emergency management.
Peter Boyce, Security Management Systems Manager LRQA, presented a paper "Supply Chain Security Management - The ISO Approach" which was well received and strongly endorsed by the Head of the ASIS Standards Committee during his lunchtime address later on the same day.
