LRQA certifies OCLC to Information Security Management System Standard ISO 27001

OCLC has achieved ISO certification for information security management, recognition that provides several benefits including compliance with various privacy frameworks, improved security, clearer definition of security roles and standardised quality procedures.  OCLC achieved ISO 27001:2005 certification from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. The ISO 27001 certification complements OCLC's current ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certification.  Founded in 1967, OCLC is a non-profit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world's information and reducing library costs.
