LRQA China forthcoming CSR seminars attract strong client interest

LRQA China is holding two Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Seminars, scheduled to take place in Shanghai on May 20th and Guangzhou on May 24th.  This year’s seminar theme – Localising CSR to Meet Challenges in a Global Economy - will provide an opportunity for delegates to learn from LRQA’s experienced CSR assessor and Technical Manager Mr. Stephen Liu about the current challenges.

The agendas will cover a variety of topics including how companies should fulfill their social responsibility, international trends and stakeholder perception.  LRQA is well equipped in the CSR arena and is a member of the advisory group for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and is also a member of ISO Technical committee for ISO 26000. LRQA also sponsors AA 1000 AS revision used for assurance work.

Commenting on the upcoming seminars, Robert Hansor, LRQA Asia Head of Climate Change & CSR said “In addition to the backdrop of our strong technical credentials in CSR, LRQA has a wide range of clients around the world in CSR report verification, including British Telecommunications (BT), ExxonMobil, SK Energy, SK Chemicals, Honda Logistics, Zodiac Maritime Agencies, Marubeni Corporation, China Steel Express Corporation and the Shanghai International Port Group.”

Both seminars have already attracted significant levels of registration and LRQA Asia sees both events as an additional opportunity to strengthen both brand awareness and promote LRQA’s capability in this key strategic area.
